It offers many fan-favorite characters to choose from, including those from Marvel’s extensive history, ranging from Spider-Man to Guardians of the Galaxy to Iron Man and much more. Even if you’re not huge on Marvel as a whole, if you enjoy Hero Shooters, this will likely be up your alley.
Whether you’re new to Hero Shooters or are a seasoned veteran of the genre, Marvel rivals Strategy Rivals offers many differences from its competition that help make it feel fresh and rewarding while still offering what you might expect from one of these types of games.
Focus Bootcamp Character Achievements
Units are the current primary currency in Marvel Rivals, allowing you to purchase unique Costumes for your favorite characters. You can obtain Units in a handful of ways, but one of the best ways to farm lots of them is via the Bootcamp Achievements available for every character in the game.
Each character will have two available Bootcamp Achievements that reward 100 Units, allowing you to obtain 200 Units per character, totaling 4,200 Units if you complete all of them. This will enable you to get some pretty sick Costumes for your favorite characters while learning how each character operates in the process.
If you want lots of Units and want to see what the roster offers regarding gameplay, we strongly urge you to complete every Bootcamp Achievement for all 21 Heroes in Marvel Rivals. It may take lots of time and effort on your end, but it will make you a better player overall and will allow you to get some sick Costumes. A win/win!
Team-Up Abilities Offer An Upperhand
Next up is the unique Team-Up Abilities mechanic in Marvel Heroes, allowing you to execute exclusive abilities and passive effects if your team composition has specific Heroes on it.
For example, having Scarlet Witch and Magneto on the same team will grant them the Metallic Choas Team-Up Abilities, allowing Scarlet to power Magneto’s greatsword up to deal more damage than average. There are currently nine total Team-Ups in Marvel Rivals, so ensure you’re building your team composition around them to maximize your team’s potential.

Practice Makes Perfect
Close
Some characters are more challenging to pick up and play than others in Marvel Rivals, which is what makes tackling its Practice Range a must if you want to hone your skills and master what your favorite Hero is capable of.
When visiting the Practice Range, you can choose from Target Practice to work on your accuracy, Support Training to learn how and when to apply your buffs and Heals, or can focus on the previously touched upon Team-Up Abilities and learn how they work.
We cannot recommend diving into Practice Range enough, especially if you are playing characters that have to hit precise long-ranged shots, as they can often be tricky to get down and learn, especially in the heat of battle. This is also an excellent way to experiment with Abilities and find clever ways to use them to your advantage!
Tackle Daily Missions And Challenges
Close
Galacta’s Quest is the current ongoing Battle Pass for Marvel Rivals, and if you want to level it up as quickly as possible, then you best hard focus on the Season Missions that grant you Galacta’s Quest XP.
The Daily Missions can be reset once per day, so if you cannot easily achieve them with your favorite role or character, we suggest taking advantage of that. The Challenges will take longer to obtain and cannot be reset, so ensure you are working toward completing those in the allotted time.
This is also an excellent way to obtain Units, so we strongly urge you to check them out each day and tackle the ones you can to get that sweet Galacta’s Quest XP, Units, and unique items in the Battle Pass!
Play To Your Role’s Strengths
Marvel Rivals has three different roles that will dictate your general playstyle and goals, something you’re likely familiar with already if you’ve played other Hero Shooters. If you haven’t, the section below will briefly cover them:
-
Duelist: High-damaging Heroes that typically have abilities centered around dealing damage and maximizing their own damage output.
-
Strategist: The Support Heroes of the bunch, typically having access to abilities that heal, shield, and support their team, ensuring they stay alive in the fight.
-
Vanguard: These are the Tanks of Marvel Rivals and are Heroes that have large health pools and abilities that help them mitigate incoming damage and protect their teammates in the process.
Vanguards will typically be the ones at the front of the line, with the Strategists keeping them topped up, while the Duelists deal substantial damage either from the flank or from advantageous positions. Running off on your own is almost never a good call, so stay with your team, receive the buffs, and use your Tanks to push or defend the objective effectively!
Always Play The Objective
Lastly, as loosely covered in the section above, we have the objective, which can range from e scorting a Spider-Zero machine to the exit or simply standing in a specific area to rack up points for your team.
Play the objective. Always. Whether you’re on offense or defense, you must play the objective to win the game. Running off on your own and neglecting to help your team is never worth it, especially if the majority of your team is collapsing on the objective.
Whether you’re a Duelist, Vanguard, or Strategist, your top priority should be on the objective. If your team has almost gotten wiped, retreat, regroup, and try to take back control of the objective as soon as possible. Kills are cool and all, but what matters the most is that you secure the objective and win the match!
